U11 Navy Continues To Run Their Division Winning Streak To Games!
The U 11 Navy Bombers continued their strong play, running their division winning streak to 4 games, with a 9-0 and 9-6 sweep over Team Mizuno USA Navy.
In Game 1, Max Poirier, Yoav Feingold, and Kyle Jordan combined on a 3 hit shutout for the victors. At the plate, the Bombers were led by Adison Kendall and Ryan McCausland who each had 2 hits. Kendall homered, while McCausland knocked in 4 runs, with a 3 run double. Matthew Hudler reached base 4 times, including 3 walks, while Poirier, Jordan, Luke Miele, Henry Redgate, and Max Paladino also had hits for the Bombers.
In Game 2, the Bombers fell behind 4-0 early, but battled back to tie the game 6-6. In the bottom of the 5th, the Bombers plated 3 runs after the first 2 batters were retired. Poirier walked, stole 2nd and 3rd and scored on a McCausland single. Teddy Griswold and Paladino followed with RBI hits and the Bombers held on. Lukas Sharrock was the star on the mound, as he fired 3.1 innings allowing only 1 run, while striking out 4 for the victory. Feingold reached base 3 times, while Griswold and Hudler each had 2 hits.
The Bombers take a 5-1 division record into games Saturday vs the Kings, and Sunday vs Rose Baseball.
